There were so few shots on target that Barca could have won this game without a goalkeeper.
The truth is we do not have any proven scorers on this team. Giroud who met this criteria earlier in the season has gone AWOL and he isn’t being used for many recent big games. Welbeck and Walcott are speedy English blokes without any “proven” clinical scoring pedigree. Sanchez has become so unproductive he doesn’t even play his usual position. And the creme de la creme is playing a junior in the biggest game in Europe. Iwobi may become a great player but he wasn’t going to be anything other than industrious on the night.
Barcelona showed Arsenal how to play the type of game they aspire to. Barca play the same offense night after night after night. Arsenal tinkers night after night after night.
I don’t have any problems with the player rankings except with Elneny. You got a little drunk with praise.
