Arsenal climbed to the top of the Premier League table following their convincing 3-0 victory over Bournemouth on Saturday evening.
The Gunners flew out of the blocks and scored twice in the opening 11 minutes with Martin Odegaard notching his first brace for the club. Arsenal’s superiority was maintained throughout the first half, although Bournemouth did threaten a resurgence after the restart as Scott Parker changed shape.
Their momentum was ground to a halt by William Saliba, however, who scored his first Arsenal goal with a pinpoint left-footed effort from the edge of the area. That put the game beyond the hapless Cherries, with Arsenal switching to cruise control for the remainder of the contest.
Here are the Gunners’ player ratings from their 3-0 victory on the South Coast.

Aaron Ramsdale (GK) – 6/10 – Arsenal’s supremacy meant Ramsdale was rarely called into action.
Ben White (RB) – 7/10 – White contributed to an impressive Arsenal press in the first half and he had an impact in the final third. His overlapping run was key to the Gunners scoring their second.
William Saliba (CB) – 8/10 – We can only assume that the new chant inspired Saliba to score his first Arsenal goal, and what a finish it was! The Frenchman was as cool as ever defensively with the physicality of Kieffer Moore failing to rattle him.
Gabriel (CB) – 6.5/10 – The Brazilian’s certainly more rugged than Saliba, but he continues to get the job done. He wasn’t very busy in this one and there was little to critique.
Oleksandr Zinchenko (LB) – 7.5/10 – Someone get me a heatmap! Zinchenko was everywhere in the build-up today, and his positioning gave the Cherries a migraine. The Ukrainian was excellent in defensive transition, too.

Thomas Partey (DM) – 7/10 – Quietly went about his business at the base of midfield. Assured in possession and mopped up when necessary.

Granit Xhaka (CM) – 6/10 – Granit Gundogan was, once again, taking up some incredibly advanced positions as he sought to enter Bournemouth’s box as much as he could. It was a quieter outing for the Swiss midfielder on this occasion, however.

Martin Odegaard (CM) – 9/10 – After being criticised for his hesitance in front of goal two weeks ago at Selhurst Park, Odegaard was super efficient on Saturday. His two emphatic strikes set Arsenal well on their way, and he almost had a gorgeous assist for Gabriel Jesus in the second half. A superb display from the skipper.

Bukayo Saka (RW) – 6.5/10 – The quietest of Arsenal’s front three as Jordan Zemura was able to match him physically (to an extent). Still, Saka contributed to Arsenal’s second and always looked menacing in one-vs-one situations. He’s developing a healthy rapport with White.

Gabriel Jesus (ST) – 8.5/10 – I mean, it’s week three and I’ve already run out of superlatives for this man. His work in the build-up for the opener was just incredible, and a loose-ish touch teed up Odegaard for his second. Jesus was, once again, at the heart of a purring Arsenal display.

Gabriel Martinelli (LW) – 7/10 – As spritely as ever. Martinelli’s energy gave Bournemouth plenty of problems in the first half and his delivery, especially from set pieces, was fantastic throughout.
