Arsenal face a Leicester City side coming off a 3-0 loss to Manchester United as they look to heap the pressure back on Manchester City, who are away at Bournemouth later in the day.
The Gunners are coming off a confidence-boosting 4-2 win over Aston Villa last time out. Arsenal were in the midst of a three-game winless run that was halted in incredible circumstances at Villa Park.
Now the Gunners have to replicate that against the Foxes, who, before the United loss, were on a run of three straight wins in all competitions. The game will not be easy, but being just two points clear of City, the chance to expand that to five needs to be taken.
Arsenal wasn’t at its best against Villa but did enough to get the win. More of the same is needed Saturday against the Foxes.
Leicester vs Arsenal: 3 things to look out for
Here are three things to look for.
1. Team selection
Mikel Arteta made a few changes against Villa last time out, and it will be fascinating to see how he tinkers with his XI.
Thomas Partey could be a game-time decision, but in Jorginho, the Gunners have a more than capable replacement. Leandro Trossard was also handed his first start against Villa and was decent enough.
Arteta could make many changes, but whether he will pull the trigger or not remains to be seen.

2. Can Arsenal ‘fix’ their form?

While the 4-2 victory and the manner in which it was obtained was undoubtedly special, the visitors’ first-half performance was sub-par.

Villa often got at the back four with simple, long balls, and in truth, the Gunners looked really fatigued. That is scary, considering there are 15 league games and the Europa League to come.

Arsenal got back into the groove in the second half against Villa, but they can’t afford another slow start against Leicester, especially being away from home.

3. Can the Gunners heap pressure on City?

With Manchester City due to play later on Saturday, Arsenal have a great chance to extend the gap at the top to five points.

Pep Guardiola’s side has been up and down over the last few weeks and drew 1-1 with RB Leipzig in the Champions League first leg on Wednesday.

A win over Leicester would put the Gunners back in firm control of the title race, but drop points and that could see City claw their way back to the top of the table. Every game is crucial at this stage.
<!—pageview_candidate—>">
