I like Chambers, but as we saw against Montero, his acceleration is a little lacking for a full-back. He did reasonably well against Markovic, but Sterling caused some problems. Going forward, he’s got good distribution, but doesn’t really have the ability to take his man on like Gibbs does. Definitely more of a centre-back, IMO.

Sanchez was quite disappointing today. His propensity to come inside (where Liverpool had flooded the centre of the park) slowed up our play and cost us possession on a number of occasions. He’s fine when he has Gibbs making an overlap, but when we’re getting pegged back, we really need him to exploit the space out-wide.
