Arsenal vs Everton Player Ratings
Arsenal finally turned things around and found a win at Goodison Park in an impressive display. Here are the player ratings from the match.
Arsenal came into Goodison park looking to turn things around. Behind a team of the future, they managed to do it. Danny Welbeck opened up the scoring in the seventh minute, showing impressive composure to put Arsenal up 1-0.
Alex Iwobi would double that lead in another display of excellent composure, slotting the ball in between the legs of Robles.
And then the defense held. Shutting out Everton is no easy feat, but Arsenal did it. Here are the player ratings.

DAVID OSPINA
GK, Arsenal FC7.5
Good day. Not tested much, but only looked shaky once. And that was a result of Lukaku rattling his entire skeletal system.

HECTOR BELLERIN
RB, Arsenal FC7.7
Fantastic assist to Iwobi. Looked good around that as well. His speed is such a weapon for Arsenal.

GABRIEL PAULISTA
CB, Arsenal FC8.2
MAN OF THE MATCH. This may not be a popular man of the match, but think about what he did. Does anyone remember seeing Romelu Lukaku? I don’t. Then again, that’s because I didn’t get a chance to look in Gabriel’s pocket, which is where Lukaku was all game. If you are able to nullify arguably the best striker in the league, you deserve a man of the match.

LAURENT KOSCIELNY
CB, Arsenal FC7.8
Nice recovery from the Barcelona match. Covered well when Gabriel was marking Lukaku and never looked a liability.

NACHO MONREAL
LB, Arsenal FC7.5
Did his job. Can’t ask for much more than that. Excellent work getting forward for Arsenal and giving them another option.
notched 12 interceptions. That’s an unbelievable number. Imposed his will all over a pretty stout offensive side."

FRANCIS COQUELIN
MID, Arsenal FC8.1
Fantastic. Arsenal needed to see something out of Coquelin and he obliged. He notched 12 interceptions. That’s an unbelievable number. Imposed his will all over a pretty stout offensive side.

MOHAMED EL NENY
MID, Arsenal FC7.4
Quietly consistent. Completed 90% of his passes and did his job. Made no glaring mistakes.

ALEXIS SANCHEZ
MID, Arsenal FC7.7
Looked rejuvenated. Moving to the right is turning out to be the answer. Had to be creative, contributed an assist and looked like the Alexis of old.

MESUT OZIL
MID, Arsenal FC6.7
Very dull day from Ozil. Started the attack that led to Danny Welbeck’s goal, but did very little aside from that. Kept quiet by a very shaky defense. Plus he got hurt, so that’s never good.

ALEX IWOBI
MID, Arsenal FC7.1
It was a strange day for Iwobi. His goal was fantastically taken, but prior to the goal he was irrelevant. After the goal he was actually a hindrance. Arsenal should be thrilled to see the goal, but in a tighter game, he would have needed to come off.

DANNY WELBECK
ST, Arsenal FC7.6
Welbeck is coming around. Arsenal needed a quick strike and Welbeck showed tremendous composure to dink the ball around Robles and tap it home. His speed is so vital, while his strength is like a sucker punch. Good game.

KIERAN GIBBS
MID, Arsenal FC6.3
Came on and did his job. Props.

OLIVIER GIROUD
ST, Arsenal FC7.0
Poor Giroud. Was tripped outside the box and it wasn’t called. Scored a goal that was denied by a ghost call. It’s like the world is out to get him. Still had a good 20 minutes though.

CALUM CHAMBERS
MID, Arsenal FC6.1
Same as Gibbs. Did his job.
